BEFORE WE BEGIN

Clear scope. Useful information. An agreed fee.

Your agreed deliverables

Tax computation and filing preparation or enquiry support as agreed, including a discussion of the figures and information needed.

What to share first

The relevant period, accounting records, previous filing information and any enquiry or deadline.

How your fee is determined

The scope of preparation or filing support, the complexity of the business and any outstanding records or enquiries.

We discuss your situation before confirming scope, required information, timing and a quotation. Additional work or third-party charges, where applicable, are identified separately and agreed before proceeding.

YOUR BUSINESS SITUATION

When this service can help

Preparing information for a tax filing

You need accounting records and supporting documents organised for review. Tell us the relevant period and any known filing date so we can discuss the information needed and agreed preparation scope.

Receiving a tax enquiry

You have been asked for an explanation or further documents. Describe the request and deadline without placing confidential records in the website form. We can discuss how to organise the response information.

What to prepare for our first discussion

A useful starting point for your enquiry

  • The relevant period and any known filing or response date
  • A summary of the accounting records available
  • The nature of the enquiry or information requested

HOW WE WORK

From first conversation to follow-through

01

Start with your situation

Tell us the problem, relevant period and important dates. One main consultant gets to know your business and the matters to coordinate.

02

Agree scope and quotation

We clarify deliverables, the information needed, proposed timing and responsibilities, then agree the quotation before work begins.

03

Review the records together

We collect the agreed documents, follow up on missing information and discuss the relevant accounts, statements or computations with you.

04

Follow through on next steps

We progress the agreed work and coordinate information for the relevant parties. Where ongoing support is needed, we agree the follow-up arrangements.

PRACTICAL QUESTIONS

Practical answers before you get started

Use these answers to prepare for the first conversation. The work, fees and timing are confirmed for your circumstances.

Can I change tax advisers or combine tax and accounting support?

Tell us the period, current adviser’s work and any outstanding filing or enquiry. Your main consultant can discuss the handover and how tax preparation connects with the accounting records. Responsibilities, access and the agreed scope need to be clear before the change.

I have received a tax letter with a deadline. What should I do first?

Tell us the nature of the request, the period concerned and the response date. Do not put tax references or confidential documents into the public website form. We can discuss the information needed and whether we can assist within the available time. Sending an enquiry does not mean a deadline has been extended or work accepted.

Can one consultant coordinate several services?

Yes, discuss your wider needs with your main consultant, including accounting, tax, corporate secretarial, financing information or HR administration. We agree the individual assignments and coordinate with auditors, banks or other parties where needed. Responsibilities for an independent audit or another professional engagement are confirmed separately.

What do you need before giving a quotation?

Start with an overview of the business, relevant period, completeness of records, expected workload and important dates. We clarify the work and deliverables, then explain the quotation and any additional charges. Work begins according to the scope and fees agreed with you.

Can you take on urgent work?

Tell us the deadline, current progress and records available at the outset. We assess the work and availability before confirming whether we can help and the proposed timetable. Do not assume that work has started until the assignment has been accepted.
